Sam Usher is an award-winning broadcast executive and producer with over 25 years’ experience in international sports television.

He founded and ran Red Handed Television, an award-winning production company delivering live broadcasts, documentaries and digital content for major sports, broadcasters and global brands.

He later joined Warner Bros. Discovery as Senior Producer for The Ocean Race, helping deliver its live race coverage, presentation, highlights and digital output through an innovative remote production model. More recently, he has worked with Vivid Broadcast developing broadcast strategies and production models for major international sporting events, including World Sailing.

A Royal Television Society Live Sport Award winner and three-time Broadcast Sport Award nominee, Sam specialises in live production, editorial storytelling, broadcast innovation and building content that works across television and digital platforms.

He is currently Head of Broadcast & Audiovisual Content for The Ocean Race, leading its global broadcast, production, content and distribution strategy.
